C'est en 2010 que le "super-groupe" The Damned Things voit le jour. Il regroupe alors Scott Ian et Rob Caggiano d'Anthrax, Keith Buckley et Josh Newton du groupe Every Time I Die ainsi que Andy Hurley et Joe Trohman de Fall Out Boy.
Leur premier album - intitulé Ironiclast - sort en décembre 2010.
